Instead of mansions, stock portfolios,
and piles of possessions,
I wish everyone would build
a Celestial account of good works.
What a treasure we would find
when freed from this short life.
Release from this small self
is the only definite reality
we all seem to agree.
All else is uncertain.
This is not bad or good.
Death just is.
However, knowledge of our temporary,
temporal state,
believing in life eternal,
makes all temporal experience palatable
and even exciting when our
heart and mind are in tune
with each other and God.
When we are out-of-tune, life feels awful.
Giving with the intention of receiving
isn't quite on target.
Giving because we know
that all we have comes from God
and, by giving or sharing,
is returned to God
is the essence of living Christian.
Allowing His riches to flow through us
is the only way we can truly know
what it feels like to be in tune with Him.
Conduit of His Blessings.
To stockpile is to create a Blessings dam,
leaving no flow to those in need below.
This is the surest way for a soul to be damned.
What use will the material beauty be
to the dead dust left behind?
How could the Blessings been better used
to better help mankind?
How wonderful a gift it would be,
if we could have a copy
of Enoch's bureaucracy.
And what stops us?
Fear. Fear our left ones will be poor.
Money is seen as security.
What a pity.
As all can die from hunger and thirst.
